Captain Kidds Child Care Center

Message: I have a lot to say, but I also want to be thorough with my review.. My daughter (almost 2y/o) has been going to Captain Kidds for almost 3 months now. She had been out of daycare for about 6 months and we were nervous at first about how she would adjust.. Now let me tell you, from the first encounter with the staff, I knew that she would be just fine! Mrs. Kim is SO warm and welcoming! Ms. Liz, Ms. Hicks, Ms. Paige, just everyone there is amazing! My daughter has her days where she just doesn't want to be at daycare but the staff are gentle and EXTREMELY understanding with her.. They use an app to give you several updates throughout the day about your child's activities, including if and what they've eaten, their nap times and pics of their craft activities. They let you know if your child is not feeling well or fussier than usual. This is extremely helpful, particularly if you're a helicopter parent and are literally controlling yourself from not calling every minute to check on them! I feel relieved and at ease to know that my baby is in very capable and amazing hands! The center is very spacious and clean (a huge plus for me). The kids are grouped by age-range and each group has their own room. I think this is essential to keep illness rates down and isolated to just one classroom.. The front door is always locked and entry is controlled by staff only. At my daughter's last center, the parents had their door code and punched it in to get access. That made me QUITE nervous so I'm very happy that this is not the case at Captain Kidds. If they don't know you or expecting you, there's no way you're getting through that door.. They're also cheaper than my daughter's last daycare for full-time care. So that's a plus for us! I know I've been long-winded and biased towards the positive things I like about this center. And honestly, I can't think of anything bad to say. The staff is great. Communication is great. Childcare is exceptional. I truly don't have any cons about the center.. I'll update this review as time passes.. Thanks to Captain Kidds and their staff. You are appreciated by all of the children and their familes!

Message: Captain Kidds have become like family in the way they care for my daughter. They are very attentive and compassionate. The staff always go above and beyond to make sure she’s comfortable and happy. My daughter loves the center and is always looking forward to going there, which in return provides me with peace of mind knowing she’s in good hands!

Message: The teachers and staff at Captain Kidds are the best! They take care of my grandson as if he were one of their own. The school age program is top tier! They do before and after school care including helping my baby with his homework. I am so grateful for the love and attention my baby receives while he is in their care! Thank you to Miss Kim and Miss Liz, as well as all of the teachers, for doing such a wonderful job with our babies!

Message: My daughter has been going here for a few weeks and I love it. I was a little skeptical about daycare with her being so young but coming here I’m at ease knowing my daughter is in good hands! The staff informs me of what she is doing during the day and sends pictures. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby girl.

Message: This daycare center has gone above and beyond to ensure my child is in safe hands. I receive updates daily of the activities done in class and even receive pictures of all the fun they are having. My daughter always has a huge smile on her face when she sees her favorite teacher Mrs. India.

Message: We are very thankful to have found this daycare. Our daughter has been attending for over a year now and she is so happy. You can tell she is so loved by the staff and well taken care of. I really appreciate the open communication between the staff and parents using the app, and love the daily updates and pictures! They are the highlight of my work day.

Message: I have enjoyed having my chikd at Captain Kidds. When I first was looking for a place for my baby I could get in this location so I went to another where I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Kim. She was such a wonderful soul and when they closed because of low attendance Captain Kidds finally had an opening. We joined this daycare and a couple years later Ms Kim became the director here ans we could not be more pleased with her leadership along with Ms. Liz.

Message: My eight year old has been attending for a year. The summer program has been stellar and she never complains about having to go. Every week they go on trips to the park, museums and other fun places in the area. They have water play every Friday. The best part is, the send me pictures of her day through the app, so i can see her in action.. During the school year I have to be at work at 630, so I drop her off as soon as they open. They take her to school and bring her back after, feed her snack and let her play. It takes a lot of the stress off of me.
